Barcelona and Xavi Hernandez face more troubles as their top captain, Sergi Roberto, has gotten injured, according to SPORT’s Toni Juanmarti.
Just this week, Barcelona suffered another blow when Alejandro Balde got injured during the Copa del Rey match against Athletic Club, likely ending his season.
Now, Barcelona has to deal with another setback as Sergi Roberto, a key full-back, is sidelined due to a muscle problem. He felt discomfort in his muscles on Friday and will miss tonight’s La Liga game against Villarreal.
Reports suggest that Roberto will be out for about two weeks, meaning he’ll also miss matches against CA Osasuna and Deportivo Alaves next week, besides tonight’s game.
