MARSEILLE IN TALKS TO SEAL €42M DEAL FOR INTER’S VALENTIN CARBONI

Olympique de Marseille are working hard to seal the arrival of Inter Milan’s prospect Valentin Carboni (19) and are edging closer to sealing the deal despite the Lombardy side’s high expectations, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Only a few weeks after winning the Copa America with Argentina alongside Lionel Messi, among others, Carboni could leave Inter Milan, as Marseille are desperate to strengthen their offensive unit with the arrival of the 19-year-old prospect. Loaned out at Monza last season, Carboni enjoyed a solid season, logging two goals and three assists in 32 appearances. While the Lombardy side and Marseille are already in talks for a few weeksLes Phocéens would like to seal the deal, despite Inter Milan’s rising requirements.

Inter Milan are now reportedly asking for a loan fee worth €2M and have raised their buy option’s valuation from €35M to €40M. While Marseille are desperate to sign the talented Argentine international, the Gazzetta Dello Sport reveals that the Lombardy side wants to secure their future by including a €45M buyback clause. Fabrizio Romano adds that a new round of talks is scheduled this week to get the deal done.
