Southampton set to secure six-figure deal for Newcastle United and Arsenal target Romeo Akachukwu
Reports indicate that Championship promotion contenders Southampton have secured the signing of Irish prodigy Romeo Akachukwu, reportedly beating out competition from Newcastle United.
The 17-year-old midfielder had a stint on trial at St James Park during pre-season, featuring for the Magpies Under-21s in friendly matches against North East non-league clubs Hebburn Town and Spennymoor Town.
