Wilfried Zaha desperate for Premier League return with Leicester and Crystal Palace in talks

Leicester are actively exploring a deal to take Zaha on loan from Galatasary.

The Ivorian’s former club Crystal Palace have also held talks with Zaha’s representatives.

The 31-year-old left Selhurst Park last summer on a free transfer and headed to Turkey.

He scored 10 goals in 42 games in all competitions for the Super Lig club, but wants to come back.

Zaha played 458 times for Palace, across two spells at the club, and is undoubtedly their greatest ever Premier League player.

Champions League football was a must for the Ivorian last summer and he featured against Manchester United, his former club.

For Palace, they have lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer and Eberechi Eze continues to be linked away.

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan would not be against a return.

Bissouma reveals Tottenham star’s imminent exit before club’s official announcement

He told talkSPORT: “I think he was a wonderful player. I don’t care what everyone else thinks about him.

“He had more talent than most players I’ve seen and he should have gone on to bigger and better things than Palace.

“He was a top four playing footballer, he could have played for Real Madrid and it isn’t just me saying that, other people have said that and they’ve gone, well how’s he up Crystal Palace then? Well, he was.

“The move to Man United didn’t help him, he was [Sir Alex] Ferguson’s last signing, then had the changeover to David Moyes, perhaps the cultural fit of not being prepared for the scale and opportunity at Man United was at the wrong time for him amongst other things.

“He certainly was a success at Palace and I think for him now coming back to Palace, maybe it’s home from home.”
